Every year, the College of Science and Technology-Biology department, in partnership with RDB organizes a research seminar where the bachelors and post-graduate students have the opportunity to present their research, particularly research in Nyungwe National Park (NNP). These seminars aim to assess all research conducted in NNP during the academic year and their contributions to  park management and protection in general.

On 1 June 2016, the Biology department jointly with the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management (CoEB) and RDB organized a research seminar at Kitabi College for Conservation and Environmental Management (KCCEM). Different research studies for bachelors and post-graduate students were presented before RDB staff, KCCM staff and students.
