On 21 May 2016 at the University of Rwanda- Huye Campus, there was a joint celebration of World Migratory Birds Day and the International Day for Biological Diversity (Biodiversity). The themes of these two events complement each other and lead to sustainable biodiversity conservation and livelihoods. The goals are to stop illegal killing, taking, and trade of migratory birds that contribute to biodiversity and livelihoods.
Warm thanks to Association pour la Conservation de la nature au Rwanda (ACNR), Rwandan University Club for Conservation of Biodiversity (RUCCB), Rwanda Safari Guides Association (AWASAGA), Olivier NSENGIMANA, and local rice farmers from Rwasave for your inspiring interactions, initiatives and commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Center of Excellence in Biodiversity (CoEB) supports you and together we will go far! Keep up the great work!
